EMI Records

The pedigree of artists affiliated to the EMI Records label encompasses many years and includes talent as diverse as Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Kate Bush, Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell.

With such an impressive musical heritage, EMI Records continue in their quest to remain a dynamic label and is proud to be working with a host of young talent.

Positiva

Positiva launched in January 1993 making it one of the longest running dance labels in the UK. During that time, Positiva has established itself as Britain's premier dance label, with a broad range of artists covering all areas of dance music.

Now on their 10th anniversary, Positiva's success continues to command respect as their growing collection of industry awards illustrates:
  • Music Week Dance label of the Year 2000 & 2001
  • Muzik Magazine Best Major Dance Label 1999
  • Tip Sheet Best Dance label 1999
  • M8 Best Dance Label 2000
Wishakismo

The Wishakismo label was established in 2001 as a means to develop new acts coming from a more leftfield edge than those traditionally found on the EMI Records label. Wishakismo will be fairly eclectic in it's output. It also utilises the involvement of independent distribution, public relations and promotions.

Heavenly

Heavenly Recordings began their working relationship with EMI Records at the start of 2000 after nearly a decade of inspirational music making. Having previously worked with artists such as Manic Street Preachers, Saint Etienne, Beth Orton, Jon Carter, The Chemical Brothers and Flowered Up, Heavenly fully intend to simply continue putting out the finest quality records, whatever the genre.

The first signings through EMI Records were Doves, Ed Harcourt and Beth Orton. Within the year, Doves' first album, 'Lost Souls' rapidly sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone and the band toured the world extensively to massive critical acclaim; Ed Harcourt's debut album was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize; and Beth Orton resigned to Heavenly after two incredibly successful albums with BMG and a scramble from a host of huge labels.

2002 is set to see new records from Doves, Beth, Ed & new signings Dog alongside a new set of Heavenly Heroes. For more information, please visit www.heavenly100.com. Hope you enjoy the ride.
