Artist & Repertoire A&R
A&R is the artist's first contact with the record company and deals with the audio side of the release. They are responsible for finding new artists and once signed to the label, their role is to assist and advise the artist both creatively and administratively during the process of recording, and then to transfer songs on to master tape. A&R will advise on re-mixes and which material is to be released. If necessary they will search for suitable songs for the artist to record.
