As a long established company that's at the top of its field, it's not unreasonable to expect EMI to be a good employer. We do expect people to work hard and sometimes have to put in long hours, but in return we provide a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salaries.

Benefits
Our benefits package, depending on seniority, includes:
  • Company pension plan
  • 25 days holiday a year
  • Maternity & paternity schemes
  • Dependent care policy
  • Personal accident insurance
  • Share save scheme
  • Season ticket loans
  • Private health care
  • Samples & gigs
  • On-site company gym
  • Company car
Work/Life Balance
Both the Maternity and Paternity policies provide paid time off to care for a new born baby or an adopted child. Additionally the Parental Leave policy, together with the Dependent Care policy, provide extra flexibility when the need arises.

Although it's not always possible, we try to be as flexible as we can about formal working hours and, if the role allows it, work can sometimes be done at home. This family friendly approach enables parents to look after their children but still have a career at EMI.

We have a gym at Brook Green which many staff have joined. As it's the results that count rather than the hours put in, staff get to use the gym at any time during the day depending on their schedules.

Pay
It's true that in general the music industry isn't the best way to make your fortune. However if you're good at what you do then it's possible to make a good, if not great, living.
